The family

Metalweld, Inc. is a family-owned business started by Jay and Ann Bowling, now in its third generation. Eric Bowling is President. The company was founded in 1976 in Dexter, and we still serve our local community from that home shop and three more stores in Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, and Houston, Missouri.

The work

We are a wholesale industrial supplier: welding equipment and systems, welding supplies, industrial gases and cylinders, industrial machinery, and chemicals used in welding and metalwork. Lines we carry include Miller, Hobart, and Lincoln Electric welders; Hypertherm plasma; Lincoln, Hyundai, Hobart, and Washington Alloy wire and filler; Walter and United Abrasives grinding discs, cutoff wheels, and flap discs; Tillman, Miller, and Black Stallion gloves and apparel; Piranha and Scotchman fabricating equipment; Jet tools; and Victor and Smith torches. We are a Lab-metal / Alvin Products distributor for metal repair and patching compounds, including high-temp compounds.

The physical work is simple. Cases of welding supplies leave here. Industrial gas cylinders leave here. You can stop by or call the closest shop — we will tell you what we have and get it moving.

Where we are

Four shops servicing our local community: Dexter, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, and Houston, Missouri. The home shop is in Stoddard County, at 13467 County Road 437. Shops, farms, contractors, and plants are who we serve.
